Workshops Less Footprint, More Sustainability

Workshops

Why is it important to reduce our ecological footprint?

To the extent that lessens the impact that our personal consumption patterns and those of our companies have on the environment, we are helping to reduce global warming effects on our lives and lives of other beings with whom we share the planet.

When we reduce our ecological footprint, we contribute to maintaining the natural resources that make it possible for Costa Rica to be an attractive place for overseas visitors.

Reducing Ecological Footprint contributes to maintaining a healthy environment and conserve the biological richness of our country, which will allow tourism to be a highly profitable activity for our country.

We should remember to do everything possible to lessen the impact of our activities on balance of the planet, remembering that details which may seem insignificant can become a big problem for the environment.

For example, the mere fact of using reusable packaging (we can use them several times) as opposed to the disposable packaging (that are used only once) reduces our ecological footprint and allows us to be more responsible with our consumption.

To reduce our ecological footprint we would have to change our habits:

  • Water Consumption
  • Energy Consumption
  • Solid Waste Management
  • Food Consumption
  • Purchasing Policy
  • Forms of transport
